This is my clod based super class crawler, it was my second crawler and after 5 years of running, I’m still not bored of it, due to its flexibility and performance. I got the bug back when TLT's and Stampedes were the only donors available, and after building a TLT and stretching it out I wanted more.
I scored a complete clod roller for a hundred bucks and it was on. After allot of research I finally decided on the carbon fibre NN chassis from the Crawlerstore. Everyone around was running the gecko in various forms from RCGuy and I wanted to be different. I also liked the fact that the chassis is adjustable from 14” - 17" and the shocks mount on collars on the lower links allowing quick ride height adjustments and sprung or droop options. I've had it set up at 14" as a 2.2 and everywhere in between with every Maxx and 40 series tire ever made.
The most current setup is at 17" with the Maxx Mashers and an Orange Chev body. Sadly it spends most of its time warming the bench or reluctantly donating electronics for my other projects, waiting to get its chance to dominate the rocks yet again. I have way to much money and time into her to ever let it go, so I’m waiting for some big boys to play with.
